Pavlova cake Recipe
1. Brief description
Pavlova Cake is the name of the cake named in honor of the legendary Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova’s visits to Australia and New Zealand.
As if to commemorate the visit of a beautiful ballerina, this cake, also baked meringue topped with whipped cream and beautifully colorful fruit, is a popular dessert in Australia and New Zealand.
2. Cooking ingredients(1piece, 20cm)
1/2t starch powder, 3/4 cup fresh cream, 1/2t vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (or vanilla flavored powder), 1T sugar
Meringue ingredients: 3 egg whites, 3/4 cup sugar
Topping: An appropriate amount of fruit that is easy to eat
3. How to cook
Step 1. Put the egg whites in a bowl and make meringue with a whisk.
Step 2. When a certain amount of bubbles form, divide the sugar and make a hard meringue.
Step 3. Add starch powder, vinegar, and vanilla extract to the finished meringue dough, and mix well so that the bubbles do not disappear.
Step 4. Place parchment paper on an oven pan, place the meringue on it, and use a spatula to shape it into a round shape.
Step 5. Bake in an oven at 130 degrees for 90 minutes. At this time, note that if you open the oven right after baking, the meringue may sink to the bottom. So let it cool down in the oven before taking it out.
Step 6. Add sugar to the whipped cream and whip it. Pour the whipped cream onto the completely cooled meringue while shaping it. (If you add whipped cream topping while the meringue is still warm, the whipped cream may melt, so let it cool completely before adding the whipped cream.)
Step 7. Fruits cut into bite-sized pieces are placed on top of whipped cream to complete.
4. cooking tips
Add vanilla extract or lemon zest for flavor.
If you don’t have vanilla extract, you can use vanilla flavored powder.
