Chicken burrito Recipe

1. Brief description

Chicken burrito is one of Mexico’s representative foods, where meat, beans, vegetables, and rice are wrapped in a tortilla that is enjoyed in Latin America. It is now a favorite food not only in Mexico but also throughout the Americas and around the world. It’s easy to make, making it a great picnic lunch or kids snack.

2. Cooking ingredients(3~4 pieces)

200g chicken breast or chicken thigh, 3~4 tortillas, 1/2 tomato, 1t tomato paste, 120g cooked rice, 1/4T salt, 1/4t black pepper powder, a bit of taco seasoning, cheddar or mozzarella or Mexican cheese 1/2 cup , water, a bit of cooking wine, 2 T chopped cilantro leaves

Dipping sauce: Mexican chili sauce, etc.

3. How to cook

Step 1. Add water to the pot to cover the meat and add a little cooking wine. When it starts to boil, add the chicken breast and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Step 2. Take out the cooked chicken breast and tear it with a fork.

Step 3. Grind the peeled tomatoes in a heated pan, add the tomato paste, chicken breast, salt and pepper, and taco seasoning from Step 2 and stir-fry over medium heat for 2 minutes.

Step 4. Add the rice to another pan and stir-fry, then add the seasoned chicken breast and chopped cilantro leaves from Step 3. and mix.

Step 5. Put the tortillas in a dry pan without oil and bake them until they are lightly browned.

Step 6. Place the ingredients from Step 4. on the center of the tortillas and sprinkle cheese evenly.

Step 7. Simply fold the sides of the tortilla so that the filling doesn’t come out, then fold it upside down to make it look neat.

4. cooking tips

It’s a good idea to cut the burrito in half and serve.

You can change the ingredients for the burrito according to your taste, or you can add more or less.

It’s delicious to eat with Mexican chili sauce or salsa sauce depending on your taste.
