Caesar salad Recipe

1. Brief description

Caesar Salad is a salad made with romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, grilled bacon, croutons and Parmesan cheese. It’s easy to mistake for Italian cuisine because of the name Caesar, but it’s an American dish that was developed and named after Italian-American Caesar Caldini.

2. Cooking ingredients(2 servings)

Caesar Dressing
2 anchovies, 2 egg yolks, 1 garlic, 15g (1T) Parmesan cheese powder, 7g (1/2T) Dijon mustard (normal mustard sauce can be used), 45g (3T) olive oil, 15g (1T) lemon juice, pepper a little powder

You can also make commercially available mayonnaise (50g) by adding garlic, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, a little olive oil, and lemon juice.

Romaine lettuce (Vegetables of your choice according to your taste) 50g, 15g bacon, 1 white bread

3. How to cook

Making Homemade Mayonnaise

Step 1. Put egg yolk, lemon juice and mustard sauce in a round mixing bowl.

Step 2. Add olive oil little by little and stir well with a whisk. At this time, the oil must be stirred in only one direction so that it is not separated and is well maintained.

Step 3. Add white wine vinegar little by little to adjust the consistency.

Making Caesar Dressing

Step 4. Add anchovies and garlic to homemade mayonnaise and mix well, then add olive oil, lemon juice, mustard, and Parmesan cheese powder to adjust the consistency.

Step 5. Add salt and pepper powder to your liking.

Making croutons

Step 6. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, add 3-4 cloves of garlic cloves, and fry until fragrant.

Step 7. Put the white bread cut into 1cm squares in an olive oil pan and fry until golden brown on a low heat.

Step 8. Soak romaine lettuce (vegetables according to your preference) in cold water, drain and tear into bite-size pieces.

Step 9. Cut the bacon into bite-size pieces and place them on a kitchen towel.

Step 10. Place the romaine lettuce (vegetables of your choice) in a plate or bowl, and top with clams and grilled bacon. Sprinkle with Caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese to finish.
