Greek salad Recipe

1. Brief description

Greek salad (Greece+salad) or Horiatiki salata, which means country salad in Greek, is a typical Greek salad. It is a simple salad made with fresh vegetables that can be grown easily in Greece located in the Mediterranean Sea, feta cheese made from sheep’s milk, and olive oil, a specialty of the Mediterranean.

2. Cooking ingredients(2 servings)

Main ingredients: Feta cheese (or mozzarella, ricotta, string cheese) 60g, red onion (or onion) 1/2ea, olives 20ea (60g), cherry tomatoes 10ea (150g), cucumber 1/2ea (100g)

Dressing : Lemon juice 15g (1T), White wine vinegar 15g (1T) (If you don’t have white wine vinegar, you can substitute lemon juice), Olive oil 45g (3T), Salt 5g (1t), Herb powder (dill or oregano or caper powder)

3. How to cook

Step 1. Slice the red onions thinly, and cut the olives and cherry tomatoes into bite-size pieces.

Step 2. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise (you can scoop out the seeds with a spoon if you like). And cut the cucumber into 1cm thick pieces.

Step 3. Prepare a bowl and mix the dressing ingredients.

Step 4. Mix 1/2 of the dressing prepared in chapter 3. with vegetables and place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Step 5. After about 10 minutes, put feta cheese (you can use mozzarella, ricotta, or string cheese) on top of the dressing and tossed vegetables, then add the remaining dressing to your liking.

4. cooking tips

Herb powder can be added or subtracted according to your taste. If you don’t have herb powder, you can add some parsley to it to make it visually beautiful.
