(Italian) Bruschetta Recipe

1. Brief description

Bruschetta is one of the Italian dishes, and is a simple yet delicious appetizer or snack. Bruschetta can be made simply, but the taste can change dramatically by using a variety of fresh ingredients, spices, and sauces. It is cooked small and made into finger food, making it a great snack for children.

2. Cooking ingredients(2 Servings)

1 baguette, 4 tomatoes (or several cherry tomatoes), 1 clove of garlic, 2T olive oil, 1T balsamic vinegar, minced basil or basil, 1t minced garlic, a little bit of salt, a little bit of black pepper

Add plums, olive, ricotta cheese, and prosciutto (Italian ham) as toppings according to your taste.

3. How to cook

Step 1. Dig out the inside of the tomato and mince only the fleshy part. Also finely mince the onion.

Step 2. Add olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper powder to a bowl and mix.

Step 3. In another bowl, add tomatoes, onion, basil, and minced garlic and mix. Add the ingredients from Step 2., mix, and marinate for a while for the sauce to permeate.

Step 4. Slice the baguettes, lightly brush with olive oil, and grill on both sides until golden brown.

Step 5. Rub garlic on the baguette and add the pickled tomato ingredients from Step 3.

Step 6. Depending on your preference, add fruits (such as plums), olives, ricotta cheese, and prosciutto (Italian ham) as toppings.

4. cooking tips

It’s good to eat balsamic vinegar and olive oil according to your taste.

If you put toppings on and leave it for a long time, the bread will get soggy, so if possible, make it and eat it right away, or serve the bread and pickled tomatoes separately.

It is also good to garnish with basil.
