Paella Recipe (Paella de Marisco)

1. Brief description

Paella is a traditional rice dish in Spain. Unlike fried rice, it is a dish made by boiling raw rice, stir-fried ingredients, and broth. Paella began to be made when rice was introduced to medieval Spain, which was ruled by Arab civilization, and is now a popular food eaten in many countries. (This seafood-heavy recipe is similar to Paella de Marisco.)

2. Cooking ingredients(2 servings, 1hour)

150g chicken breast, 100g pork, 150g ready-to-cook assorted seafood (shrimp, squid, clams, etc.) 150g rice, 1 onion, 1 tomato, 1/2 paprika, 15g minced garlic, 1 chicken stock cube, 2 lemons , a little parsley, a little saffron(or curcuma, curry powder), 30g peas, 30g olive oil, 5g salt, 5g pepper powder, 1 whole tomato sauce

3. How to cook

Step 2. Cut chicken breast, pork, onion, and tomato into bite-size pieces. Slice the paprika straight.

Step 3. Heat the oil in a pan and cook the chicken breast and pork for 5-10 minutes over medium heat. When the meat starts to cook, add the onion and stir-fry it.

Step 4. Add paprika and tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and fry for 5 more minutes.

Step 5. Add assorted seafood and tomato sauce. (However, don’t add shrimp now.)

Step 6. Add the soaked rice, pour enough water to cover all the ingredients, and then add the chicken stock cube and saffron.

Step 7. Add shrimp and peas and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes.

Step 8. Finish with lemons, herbs or decorative vegetables on top of the ripe paella.
